TUKS RURAL HEALTH SOCIETY

Founded in 2008 by Angela Smith , Godfrey moletsane, Odwa Gulwa, Jacky Wang, Jones Mwenda and Kabelo Ramavhoya, Tuks Rural Health, formerly known as University of Pretoria Rural Health Club(UPRHC); is a network of the University of Pretoria students committed to the goal of improving health care in rural communities.

Mission

Raise and mould future leaders and pioneers of Rural Health Care in Southern Africa.
Equip future Rural Health Care professionals with necessary knowledge and skills to best serve rural communities.
Challenge and change already existing perceptions amongst students about rural health.
Create and ignite a passion for Rural Health Care amongst Health Science Students at the University of Pretoria.
